CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Little Swimmers 1:
Students aged 3-5 years learn basic water skills including float, glides, kicking, and water safety. There are no pre-requisites for this class.
Little Swimmers 2:
Students aged 4-5 years build on their basic water skills. This course helps students develop independence with their gloats, glides, and kicking. Students entering this course must have a Little Swimmers 1 certificate or be able to demonstrate all the requirements for this course.
Level 1: Water Skills Introduction (Students must be able to touch)
This class is to help students feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. Students will learn elementary aquatic skills. There are no skill requirements for this course.
Level 2: Basic Aquatic Skills
Students will learn to float without support and recover to a vertical position. Additional skills learned include bobbing, breath holding, rhythmic breathing, opening eyes under water and alternating and simultaneous arms and leg action on front and back. Students entering this course must have Little Swimmer or Level 1 certificate or be able to demonstrate all the requirements for Level 2.
Level 3: Stroke Development
Students learn to co-coordinate the front and back crawl. Butterfly and treading water fundamentals are also introduced at this level. Students entering this course must have a Level 2 certificate or be able to demonstrate all the requirements for Level 2.
Level 4: Improvement of Strokes
Students develop confidence and endurance to improve the butterfly, front crawl for greater distances than in Level 3. Elementary backstroke, breaststroke and elements of the sidestroke and turning at the wall are introduced at this level. Students entering this course must have a Level 3 certificate or be able to demonstrate all the requirements for Level 3.
Level 5: Stroke Precision
Students refine their performance in front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke and increase their distances. Flip turns and the front and back are also introduced. Students entering this course must have a Level 4 certificate or be able to demonstrate all the requirements for Level 4.
Level 6: Proficiency of Skills
Students refine strokes to enable them to swim with more ease, efficiency, power, and smoothness over greater distances. Two options are available for this level- personal Water Safety of Fitness Swimmer. Students can repeat this level to focus on different goals each time. Students entering this course must have a Level 5 certificate or be able to demonstrate al the requirements for Level 5.

Mon – Thur: 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday: 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sat – Sun: 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Pool, Spa, and Sauna
are open until a half hour before close; spa closed Thursdays from 11 am - 3 pm for cleaning.

Friday 4-8:00 pm
